POLARCSIC Objectives
Using the White Papers from EU-POLARNet (hppt://www.eu-polarnet.eu) as a conceptual framework , the objectives of the POLARCSIC are:
- To define and validate indicators of change and their rate of variation;
- To conduct numerical modeling to establish future scenarios;
- To develop technological innovation projects to improve data acquisition and monitoring systems;
- To assess hazards and risks arising from changes in polar areas;
- To increase social awareness of the changes experienced at the poles and their environmental consequences.
